Foster Care is a great way to provide a family for a child in your own home when they are unable to live with their birth family. People from all walks of life can become carers. The primary aim of foster care is to provide children and families a secure, supportive and educational environment so that they can eventually reunite. Where this is not possible, the aim is generally to find a stable, long-term environment where the child can live.
As a carer, you can make a huge difference in the lives of children that are less fortunate. This short course is highly research-based and interactive. It incorporates both visual and written components to enhance learning and retention. Carers can study at their convenience at home and work at their own pace to complete a course. To protect the privacy of children and workers, I am a strong advocate of Confidentiality. Client confidentiality allows me to create fictional scenarios to discuss, but the scenarios are close to real cases and situations as a carer you may encounter.
